About Rangiora Local
Rangiora Local is a directory of businesses in Rangiora and the wider North Canterbury area. It exists so locals can find a plumber, café, hairdresser or tradie nearby without wading through national listing sites, and so small local businesses have a simple place to be found.
How listings work
How businesses are listed
Businesses ask to be listed through our Get Listed page, and supply their own name, contact details, location, services and logo. A basic listing is free. Paid plans give a business a higher position within its category or a spot on the homepage, and this is the only thing payment changes. Paying does not change a listing's description or what we say about the business.
How information is kept accurate
Listing details come from the business owner or the business's own website. When an owner sends a correction we update the page. Where a listing shows a "last checked" date, that is the date the details were actually confirmed, not an automatic date. If you spot something out of date, please let us know.
Use of AI and automation
Some listing descriptions were drafted with the help of AI writing tools, using details supplied by the business or taken from its own website, and then reviewed. We don't use AI to invent reviews, ratings, awards or facts about a business. The site itself is built and updated with the help of automated tools.
Reviews and ratings
We don't publish our own reviews. Where a listing links to Google Reviews, those reviews belong to Google and the people who wrote them.
